sentences for the oral exam:

Describing a picture in English (Speaking exam)
Now, we are going to learn how we can describe a photo in English.
First, DON’T BE SCARED!
You can introduce it with:
This photo
shows…
It’s a
black-and-white/coloured photo.
After that, you can describe the photo with the following prepositional
phrases:
In the foreground/background, you can see...
In the foreground/background, there is....
In the middle/centre, there are
At the top/at the botton, there is...
Behing/In front of... you can see...
Between... there is....
Third, you can describe people in the picture or you can say what is
happening in the photograph. You can use present continuous. REMEMBER:
subject+verb to be+verb(ing). In order to describe people, REMEMBER: verb to
have got, verb to wear, and all the vocabulary you have learnt during our
lessons.
Finally, you can explain what you
think about the photo. For instance, you can use:
I think....
I like/don't like this photo because...
